Discrepancy in FCE coursebook p47

Ben has noticed a small discrepancy in the FCE coursebook/teacher´s book, which might cause teachers some confusion.

P.47 SB ex 5. The answers in the teacher´s book lists `meat´ as C (countable and uncountable). However in the Grammar reference on p. 167 of the student´s book it lists ´meat´ under the heading of uncountable (although it does say all these items are ´usually´ uncountable).

So, if your students ask you about this, you can tell them that both pages are correct: the word 'meat' is usually uncountable but can be used in a countable way, although it's not as common.

Error in FCE coursebook unit 4 page 36

FCE teachers!

Theresa has found the following error in the FCE coursebook:

There is an error in question number 5 on page 36/160 in the Coursebook.
The answer should be B - the men survived but they did not get to the South Pole.

This is historical. He took the decision to turn back and saved everyone ( it is in the listening on the following page ) He went on to have several more expeditions with his team !

FCE_TFCE Triptico group

Dear FCE/TFCE teachers,

Last year we had a Triptico group where teachers shared games their prepared for each unit. Since it worked really well (we had 41 files saved by the end of the year), I've just created a similar group for this academic year. You should all receive invitations to join the group by email (please let me know if you haven't). When you create a new activity and would like to share it, simply upload it to the folder.
